Life without Google...

There used to be blogging contests in the Wipro blog. And this month the topic was quite interesting one. Its about ‘A LIFE WITHOUT GOOGLE’. And this is what I submitted.

Life without Google. Doesn’t the heading itself sound scary at first sight? Definitely it does. It’s even unthinkable about a day when Google is down, let alone a Life without Google. But think about it twice. Will the Life without Google be empty? Will the Life without Google be such tough to manage? I do not think so.

Since the evolution of mankind ages ago, one thing had remained the same – Adaptability. Man adapts to whatever he have, and try to evolve within that limited space. Few days across I came across a blog in which the author claims that he met and had a conversation with the God. In that conversation, God explains about the human adaptability and his extremely powerful quality of evolving himself. Men thrive to excel, regardless of the condition or situation in and around him. The same case is applicable even if one day Google stops its operation. Everything in the world will go on as usual. Men will eat sleep play work and reproduce even if Google is not there. You think it’s impossible? Here comes the before mentioned superpower of homo sapiens, adaptability and ever evolving nature. People get used with the absence of Google same as the way they got used with its presence. Google has helped a lot in men’s quest for knowledge. Google simplified the process. But again as I told before, men will never stop their quest for knowledge even if Google is not there.

But being said that, I cannot ignore the impact of a life without Google. If Google is stopped one day, definitely world will be under utter chaos. Things won’t run proper. The only reason behind is again the before mentioned Adaptability, only difference is this time around it came as a villain. People got adopted with Google’s impact in day to day life in such extent that they can’t even imagine what they will do without Google. But if we come out of the self-made belief that we cannot live without Google, and try to see beyond it, we can clearly understand that the tension or uneasiness caused by just thinking about a life without Google, eases away, that we are prepared to live and evolve, that the only thing matters is that we are still here.

Having said all this, now where do I search for a suitable image for the blog… nowhere other than GOOGLE!!!
