It was project time and only a few was there in class. We were getting bored. And it was then someone so unlikely to say this, told us, Lets go GOA!! Goa, the party town! One of my dream destination. Beach, babes & beer! What else for fun?? We all agreed and started packing. We arranged the stay in Govt guest house with the connections of one of my friend. Got stay in AC Suite for Rs 40 per day!!!
Since it was our first visit, we arranged a guide, and that was the first blunder we made. Because Guides takes us to places they want, not where we want to go. Same happened here also. He first took us to a place and told, You can go for 1 hr boating here, watch dolphins, Goa central jail and guest house of film stars. We were not interested. Then he told, you can also watch Cocoa Beach or ‘THE NUDE BEACH’ from the boat I can see lightning in my friends eyes. Well they could see in mine too. At once we agreed and went for it. We enjoyed the trip because the climax is at Cocoa beach. All was excited for it. We could see the beach in distance. We came near, across and over the beach. Well it was NUDE BEACH, there was no sign of any living beings there. It was heart failure for us!! The whole mood of the trip was spoiled. We went back to guide and enquired about it. It was then he revealed the shocking truth. Cocoa beach was indeed NUDE BEACH until it was closed in 1994 by the order of Govt of India. We were boiling up, and felt we want to thrash that SOB to pulp. Frustrated, angry, idiotic… we didn’t know how we felt then. We decided to take matters in our hands and told him to take us directly to beaches.
The world famous Goa beaches, Vagator, Colva, Madgaon, Anjuna, Bhaga, Calingout etc. They stretch out there with silver sand, golden sun rays & blue sea (blue in movies only, actually it is of same color as payyambalam beach of Kannur).Babes in bikinis where sun bathing in the beach. Paragliding & water rides are common. We went for the banana ride. (Don’t misunderstand the name.) We were carried on a long tube with life jackets, and some way from shore they throw us off from the tube. We have to swim back to the shore. It was great fun. But excitement was just begun. We decided to have beer. The real fun begun then. A bottle of beer inside you, warm waves caressing you, wind blowing on you, evening sun bathing you, friends with laughter cheering you and babes in two pieces around you. What will you feel, Ecstasy right. Ya indeed it was marvelous feeling.
Beaches at night were wonderful. Waves were roaring at the shore. There were visitors enjoying the night with beer. The light glowing gold on their skin was fantastic to watch. It was then, one of my friend wanted to pee badly. He went to side of a boat, but the owner of nearby resort scolded him, and sent his dog behind him. We ran for our life. We pleaded the waves to avenge him and peed in sea. Enjoyed the night out like hell.
Two days at Goa was one of the most memorable days of my life. We returned back with lifelong memories stored in our mind and in our cameras. Definetly I am gonna visit the place once again. To fulfill the dreams…..
